Al Iraqiya (Arabic: العراقيّة‎ al-Ê¿IrÄqiyyä) is a terrestrial television network in Iraq that was set up during the U.S.-led occupation of Iraq in 2003 and is supported by the United States military. It is an Arabic language network that serves upwards of 85% of Iraq's population, and is viewed by a significant percentage (about 40%). However, people equipped with satellite dishes often prefer to watch Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya.
